I'm still waiting for tickets to come in from other "slowpokes" I'll do it after the mail comes on Friday. This Saturday is a really busy day for me because I have to hand out range badges, collect dues, and work on the books. So I probably won't be home until 4pm on Saturday. Whoever wins, I will call them first and let them make the annoucement, if they choose. I don't want to count the chickens before they hatch, it looks to be about 50/50 of forum to my club members that bought tickets. So I'm not getting my hope up... but if/when someone here wins, I'll have smile on my face and be humming a tune as I build the box to shipping.
As for next year... Claude will have to decide but it sure has been fun.

Get well quick tipis ...

in the 80's i rode a horse up to a mesquite tree and tried to get him to climb it but he wouldn't, he got mad and racked me into it with me trying to hang on to the saddle horn...made 6 bones out of 2.

Doctors told me i wouldn't be running any more, take it very easy, long recovery, etc, etc. It was all :bull:

walk as sonn as you can ..

Have run at least 10 full 26 mile marathons since then...

Put your mind to it and just do it. You will be just fine. It's just like shootin, at least 90% mental.

Good luck, quick recovery and get out of that hospital fast.. there's sick people in there...you don't belong there

Slowpoke, I am not sure about that shipping box. You may want a camera instead. Better make that a wide angle camera to capture all of the smile. Oh yeah, don't forget the driving instructions to your place. :winking:

With Christmas coming early this year I want to wish everyone good luck in the drawing. I wish we all could have that nice gun under the tree with a big red bow. To whoever does win, congratulations. And to the rest of us, better luck next year.

After the mail comes today, I'll draw a couple names for some free tickets... I now have 3 tickets.

Well, I went and checked the mailbox and it appears I'm not getting anymore tickets back so....I did the final count. Forum Members/Anonymous Readers bought 187 tickets. Our Club members bought/sold 240 tickets bringing the total to 427 tickets for tomorrow's drawing. The tickets on the left are from the Forum and on the right are club's members. I marked the forum's tickets with an "X" so I would know immediately if someone from the forums name was drawn!

Our meeting tomorrow is at 1pm. I have to hand out range badges, help run the meeting, and do the books. I will be home by 4. If someone from the forum wins, I will call you. That way we can workout the details and I can get your rifle in the mail. I sincerely wish all that participated good luck! Also, I would like to say thank you for your contribution to our club. We do a lot for the community this time of year and your help has really made a difference. Thanks Again

Chuck

The shipping will be $20 and will do my very best, if someone from the forum wins, to get it there by Christmas but I cannot promise it. I repeat !! I cannot promise it because I'm leaving next week to go home to South Carolina, and I have to make a crate to ship it in. But I will do my best!

I regret to announce that the winning ticket was purchased by one of the members of Marriotsville Muzzleloaders. :( I surely wish that someone here would have one so I could have made a big deal about it but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Again I want to tell everyone would purchased tickets, thank you for your support and maybe we can do it again next year.

Depressed ......

Well, like we keep saying around chicago... there's always next year. Besides going to a good cause, the laughs and fun generated was more than worth the entry fee :m2c:

I was really depressed... I did a little pre-draw draw. And the first three tickets I pulled were list members. We had a 7- 8 year old girl do the actual drawing. She was all excited, she reached in, pushed them all around, pick out a ticket, and ran back to her parents. I was like wait... I need that tickets!!!!
But anyway, I'm glad everyone enjoyed it.... Next years rifle is a lot better than this years. Next years has a patchbox and a little carving. The only bad thing is that it's percussion. :nono: I will have some pictures soon and will show everyone.
