WOW! Nice piece of work. Did you have to touch up any of the cast engraving? Not to display my ignorance, but what's the finished product? Where did you buy the parts? The polish is really nice w/o being too shiny. Quality workmanship and very crisp lines....Fred
 
I deciced to try to stay away from the engraving as much as possible so no touch ups.

Its going on a Poser Jaeger. I have all the brass castings to go with and a .58 cal 29" Rayl barrel that was copied from an original.

They are The Rifle Shoppe castings, very clean to start with. I made all the screws for it except for the top jaw screw, but I may end up making that too. :v
 
the finished product is very nice. are all the parts made of the same type of steel, or are the springs,tumbler/sear and frizzen of a different steel material?
