Matt built me one of his TN rifles two years ago with a 44" Dickert pattern barrel. Do NOT get a Colerain. Wait for an L.C. Rice barrel. They are worth a few bucks more and the wait of 2 months. He finishes the bore and grooves to match grade and will cut you any depth and rate of twist you want. My new rifle balances better than the old one which had a shorter barrel.

Thanks fer the input, I have decided on a straight GM barrel in 45 cal one inch across the flats cut to 33 inches, I realy want to be competive next winter with the paper punchin boys.
I did realy well this winter with a 54 cal leman 36 inch barrel one inch across the flats, I realy like the way a heavy barrel hangs,
:hatsoff:
