Not that hard to do most builds. It's the time and learning curve that makes the journey the journey. Along with the list of materials you have your finishes (browning, stain or aqua fortis) and any specialty jigs needed that can add to the price. Do you have a decent woodworking vice to hold this while you are working on it? I consider that almost essential. A drill press is in the "nice to have" category. Then there are the necessary hand tools, files, rasps, calipers, hack saw, sandpaper, punches, screwdrivers. Stuff like that. Books are helpful tools to help you know where you're going.

the most important element in a build is time, patience, persistence, and determination. There are a LOT of half-done builds out there that have sat in basement corners for YEARS.
