Flintlocks have always had a hold on my imagination. My parents gave me the American Heritage book on the American Revolution when I was seven, and I've been an avid student of the Revolution and the Founding ever since.

I hope to build a revolution era, Virginia-style rifle this winter, and to acquire a replica Brown Bess. (The non-authentic twist for the rifle will be that I'm left-handed.)

I'm a Project Appleseed instructor and will use these to demonstrate for students at my events. My own shooting goal is to meet the test for joining Daniel Morgan's rifle company. Also, venison taken during black powder season seem to be the tastiest.

Welcome to the forum! I admire you being involved with the Appleseed program. My gun club also has the Appleseed program. No better way to properly teach our youngster's.

We are happy that you've decided to join us! Sounds like you already have vast knowledge and experience under your belt.

This forum is the best place to learn more about Traditional muzzleloader's and BP shooting. We also cover all the other aspects that go along with it.

No matter what you shoot or want to learn more about, it is likely covered in great detail right here.

This is a friendly forum which is made up of like minded folks as yourself. The majority of our members have decades of knowledge and experience. They would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. We would also love to hear from you and your experiences as well.

We also have a Search feature located at the top of all the forums pages. It is a great tool to utilize for research or for looking up something specific.

The learning opportunities here are endless. I am always learning something new on a daily basis.

We are honored to have you as one of our members. We look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

With that I will say, Welcome Aboard! my friend.

Respectfully, Cowboy :hatsoff:

Welcome from still another Virginian. The Forum offers information on all aspects of traditional BP activities and the people are generous with their knowledge and experience. I wish it had been around when I began with muzzleloaders.
