some posit a theory John Wilkes Booth was a patsy, and really John Surratt fired the actual shot which killed President Abraham Lincoln using instead a contemporary pepperbox (pros: double-action, more shots if needed for follow-up or get-away)...
 
Very nice pistol: Deringer made the best in his day. John Wilkes Booth was one of the most famous actors of his time, and earned a very good living.
 
WOW! can you beleave all of the cigarette adds on the show?
1950's shows had ads crowing about how they were sending cartons of Luckys and other brands to the wounded in Veteran's Hospitals! I have an old match book with the cover printed with Veterans Administration logo, so they must have provided matches at the hospitals.
 
remember the ones in C-RATS, two of them, that you got one drag and all that was left was one long ash? the ones that I had in 1961 were dated 1944.
