Went to a shoot today, pulled out a first place, what a great way to start 2022 off. Nice coffee mug as the trophy.

WTG! Tell us more. Good turnout? What was temp? What did you shoot at and distance? I am jealous cuz I stayed home and cleaned my shop. I would have rather been making sparks and smoke.

It was 19 degrees with a 10-15 mph wind out of the West, the range faces West, it was only 4 paper targets 5 shots each 25 yrd only. There were about 20 shooters total. I used my 50 Thompson Hawken 30gr of Triple 7 with .015 wonder lube patches and hand casted .490 balls.

I'm sure there are some good shoots in Florida, Google Florida State Muzzle Loading association, I tried adding the link but I couldn't get it to paste in, most states have a site like this. I do about 12 shoots / Rendezvous throughout the year, a couple are 1 day events but most are full weekends, great fun and good people.
