Thanks guys I sent some photos to the retailer. I will keep them in confidence for the time being. I believe I’ll ask for a partial refund because they are now out of stock, I think I got the last one. I’ve wanted one of these for a long time. I’m just bummed it’s all dinged up.

I got one of those guns a few months ago.
A few of my pin holes are not quite like the ones in the pics, but not perfect either. I remember thinking someone had had trouble getting them in. Not bad to the naked eye anyway.
And my ramrod was also loose. It would move a couple inches from recoil. I seem to remember putting a spot of super glue where it goes into the stock... but maybe this is the gun I bought a new rod for because the OEM rod was too flexible for my liking. Or both, lol. I don't recall which gun I bought the new rod for.

I am thinking about ordering a new rod from TOTW, I think it’s 9 mm size, they sell hickory rods

I have a feeling I know where you bought it. A partial refund will be difficult from them. A full refund and shipping it back is more likely.

Order one through military heritage it will cost you less than half of that and be just as good all you need to do is drill the flash hole maybe lighting the Springs a little they spark well and hold up to a lot of abuse I have a few of them

Thats s darn shame and a real disappointment to get a new gun like that . Its some easy fixes or cover ups to fix or actually to make it better but you certainly should not have to do such things . Sure sorry you had this happen to ya. I hope they will take it back and make everything right . Best of luck .

I’m just sick about the whole thing. This is the most I’ve ever spent on a gun. The bad thing is that I tried to gently tweak the ramrod to see if it would fit tighter and it snapped :( I don’t know what to do now

1st thing you do with any Pedersoli ram rod is break it in half over your knee and replace it with a good hickory one so no loss there 👍
As to the pin blowouts…..plenty of wood on the trade gun to slim it down while removing most if not all the “damage”
Give you a chance to slim up the whole stock and apply a more desirable finish anyways !
Then keep it and enjoy it 😎
Good luck eitherway.

Already into it for $1300. You are not happy and therefore are spending your time on it. You may yet have more expenses. If you put a dollar value on your time you could be into this gun north of $2000 before you are satisfied. There are a couple of good guys on here that will build you a NICE rifle for $2000. That, and I have seen some good used guns for sale on this forum.

I will say too return it. Seems like the Dealers will not even allow that anymore. I hope you bought it on a CC ! My Pedersoli Scout has many issues i have been working on for a year. I am still working on it, will never get another one.
