GMWW, now you went and did it ... i'm gonna build me one of those, even if there's no place for the flint anywhere!

I couldn't get that link to work. It is a link to an auction on this forum. Also when I click on "Classified Ads - Auctions" in the index to go there that way I find no way to go to an auction of any form.

It looks like it would be possible to make a simple flat spring to go under the guard/mainspring screw to act as a trigger spring. A decent gunsmith should be able to make the repair easily. An alternative would be to bend the original trigger spring and re temper the entire spring (not so easy).

They are easy guns to put together and the accuracy is great. The finish by the way is Laurel Mountain Forge cherry stain.

That is definitely the spring that died on my rifle. A shame; you buy something expecting it to last a while and half a century later it's already worn out! :td:

You guys sure know where to hit where it hurts! Went to the J Star site, didn't see anything for undies. A reliable source for replacement parts would be very good. Woodbutcher

This is my 1960's H&A .36 Heritage.

I removed the forend (seen below), just because......

Lastyear, I sold all of my front-stuffers of over .45cal, just keeping this .36 U/H for small game, and a T/C .45 Seneca for deer - because at my age now, I'm well-enough done, with these smaller recoiling rifles.
