Apart from shooting my old P-H Musketoon with a noob - showing him the difference between 40, 45, 50 and 60gr of 2Fg Swiss - nothing much. He enjoyed himself greatly, and with our local LGS in possession of six of them, he'll be spoiled for choice when he comes to buy one when his FAC arrives.

Made 336 lbs of ingots! :)

Got my Kibler SMR kit in .45 with a cherry stock about a week ago. Slowly fitting parts together in my spare time today. Also playing with some wood finishes for the cherry.

cut dovetail mortice for front sight on my SMR. installed a sight.
tore apart my shop and everyplace else i could think of for a rear sight . no joy
had a piece of brass flat stock i bent and drilled for a tang sight. drilled an aperture. to big! tapped the hole and drilled a smaller hole in a allen screw, just right!
drilled a hole in the tang part of the sight and tapped it for a 6x32x3/16th screw for elevation adjustment.

That looks good let me know what you decide on if you don't mind..... I've got a colonial with cherry stock on the way and so far I'm thinking just linseed oil and let time do it's thing.

Got the barrel and double triggers fitted to the SMR stock. Got the front and rear sights fitted to the barrel. The rear dovetail had one side that was unusually shallow, so I’m playing with that some to make the rear sight work.

Also made a third test blank for how I’m going to finish the stock. Using tried and true varnish this time.

it was raining so i sat in the garage with the overhead door open and shot my cva mountain rifle 50.
mama was gone to town so i smoked up the house!
tried 65g 3f and kept hitting low. ran out of back sight.
dropped the charge to 45g and poi raised 2 inches. :dunno:
mama came home so i tinkered making some screws for my SMR lockplate

Dry firing my flintlock with clothes pin nub in top jaw. Practicing trigger pull, front sight focus, and follow through hold. Club range is closed until end of regular deer season. Also getting accustomed to front trigger pull without using set trigger on Davis #4 trigger.
