It’s a mix of Laurel Mountain Cherry and Maple diluted with denatured alcohol. I tried 4 different mixes until I got that color. It’s about 50% alcohol, 40% cherry, and 10% maple. I made a couple of ounces to keep, then proceeded to knock the jar over on my work bench!!!

Thanks for that formula 👍

Unfortunate accident but hopefully it prettied up the bench.

Took 28 hours to make 3F out of 1.5F.

Won't be doing that again.

3F left - 2F eight.

Had my B Hoyt barrel engraved with the new caliber "454 ROUNDBALL" and while leaving to get it saw a large Timber Rattler entering my driveway drain tile. Took some bug spray and squirted into tile then took a backpack blower to make him go out the other end. When the snake came out he was really mad. The wife was gonna film it all but the snake proved to be a little too much so all I got on film was the sky, driveway, yard and anything between her and the house. Took one of my six shooters and disposed of that critter. I live off the road and a friend said that was way too close to the house for him. I replied ain't I so lucky that he was so far away.

I went and helped an old range hand today; he's a lovely fella who has been at the heart of our club for decades. Sadly, he's on the decline as the sun sets on his shooting years, and has decided to do a bit of a clean up of his stable. We photographed 20 lots for sale in total, so while I was at it, I decided to do my four (not for sale! :D).

Kind regards, Pete
