Took my Crockett Squirrel Rifle out again for a morning squirrel hunt. Only got one this time, but it was still nice to get out and walk the mountains.

Probably was the last one left in the neighborhood 😅

Finished the Trade Gun. Posted some photos in a new Smoothbore thread.

That is a great bit of work right there.

Ordered some stuff from Track. Rod tips, nipples, ball pullers.

Working on some patch knives. Russell blades and leftover bits of wood.
 
The Jim Kibler Woodsrunner I ordered at the end of March arrived today.
So far, I have gotten it out of the box, put all the parts in the same bag, put the barrel in the stock, put the gun in a corner of my reloading area and sealed up the box again to put in the garage so the wife has no idea I have a new gun. 😂

The Doc is out now. :cool:

The story I remember is that after England banned cartridge handguns the Italian makers made these guns to reuse the existing holsters and designed the guns so you couldn't just swap out a cartridge cylinder. I don't know if this is true just what I heard.
