Just got back from a 4 day Rhondy. As a member of the club stayed there Monday to check fire pits and check for anything left by mistake. This was held on a ranch that does not measure in acres but in miles, kind of off the beaten path. All the events were held on separate trail walks. My wife and I were in charge of the PeeWee Long Gong and the shotgun events. For the shotgun events we had ML, BP cartridge and doubles. It was nice seeing more and more Damascus doubles being used in competition every year.
Doc,

:D :D i was hunting the ram rod i shot yesterday, then in a fit of adolescent anger threw over the bank in front of the house.
no wonder my bride of 54 years calls me "old fool"!
i decided i'd try to find it and keep it as my first ram rod kill trophy. then it snowed so it will have to wait. besides, i threw it into a thimble berry patch. last years dead stems are all brown and each one looks like it could be a delrin rod. and there are a gazillion of them.
starting to agree with my bride.
Lol. Its the one without thorns😂

well i went over the bank looking for the fired ram rod while the wife wasn't looking for me.
found the dang thing, but couldn't get back up the bank. had to call the woman 🥴
she tossed me a rope and i rappelled my way back up.
yup! "you old fool!"
do i have to turn in my man card for having been rescued by a woman?
any way i got the thing and am thinking of trying to straighten it enough to get a RR for my pistol.
just about done with the pistol which i polished the lock inside and out today.

Wonder if you cut a longer than meeded section and heated it in boiling water until flexible then hand straighted the curves if that would work. Nothing wrong with being rescued bye a woman, esspecially a pretty one you like, they like that and sometimes has benefits for you. 😉

Storms coming this after noon........Good , maybe I can get this .50 longrifle barrel into the browning box. Don't like it when too many manure sandwiches take away m/l building time. Been that way all winter. Think I had more time when I worked for a living. Sorry for the whining session. I feel better now.........
