Just a hunch, but he got into a head butting contest with Mods over that last thread. Those contest never end well.

Was hunting. I'm convinced the bucks keep a calendar. Was seeing plenty during archery season. Now that I can reach further - nothing. These are 100 yards out and no horns.

They can probably smell the gun oil, especially if it's Balistol.

Finally got the ol' smoker fixed today.
This is what it looked like last week when it fell over and hit the floor.
Yikes..that's no fun...!!

Today.....the new frizzen arrived and I went to work getting it back on the lock.
It wouldn't close without hitting the barrel.
No problem..... I took it back off, put the blade edge ( side towards the barrel ) on the ol' bench grinder.
I took 1/8" off and put it back on.

Sparks like a new one again!
I can't wait to get it out and dirty again!

Yes.....this is the 2nd time in 12 months it has fallen over breaking the frizzen.
I had a spare frizzen the last time but no such luck this time. LOL

I think his posting privileges are suspended. If you click on his name it doesn't give the option to PM him or anything else, but the fact that it shows he's been online tells me he wasn't banned permanently. We'll be reading his sarcastic comments again as soon as his suspension is up lol

Got my first little buck of the season with my customized Western Arms, bored out to .58 caliber by Bobby Hoyt with a 1X66 twist and deep lands and grooves for a patched round ball. The lock panels have have been reshaped and forearm was slimmed down to make it look more Hawkenish.
Good times.

congrats to u sir for a well done hunt and some nice meat for the freezer but we both know it aint about the killing.u done good

Spent 2 hours yesterday sanding the Kibler SMR stock with 180g. The 220, 320 , 400g shouldn't take nearly as long as the initial 180g work.
