Bought a German Cape gun on GunsInternational.
"1880's German Cape Gun made in Braunsweig Germany made by R.L. Rasch (name gold inlaid under right hammer) This highly engraved and gold inlaid firearm is chambered in 10.3mmX60R rifle caliber (.416) and a very rare 20 gauge shotgun barrel." 20ga is 2 3/4" and has been gunsmith to use low AA Target shells. The seller is also including Hornady dies and 50 rounds of rifle ammo and loading data.

I especially love the Circassian Walnut. I get lost in the luminescence.
Isn’t a 10.3mmX60R and 20ga 2 3/4 make that a breechloading cartridge gun? It’s pretty, but wrong forum.

Banjo man. Two coats of permento green to match wife's Z3 two pack spray can stiffens my paper sabot and all the fluffy bitts it’s quite stiff like plastic My right hand can pluck a chicken but after 10 years not a banjos , life is a struggle at times
I still pluck the banjo, but not many chickens 🤣🤣

Took my .50 caliber woodsrunner to the range yesterday. Since I got it, I have been shooting it with 50 grains of 2F GOEX, .015 patch and .490 ball. I decided to try increasing the powder charge to 55 grains. I think that it might have tightened the group a little. The target on the right s with 50 grains the other two are with 55 grains. The two on the right were off a bench rest while the laft target is offhand. Anyway, it was a great day full sun, no wind, 67 degrees.

It’s a good thing drool doesn’t go through electronic media. That double would covered in slobber. 😄

I was looking over a Pedersoli .45 pistol I purchased a while back, its just been sitting, I havent shot it yet. I noticed a little reddish stuff around the nipple base, also the hole looked plugged. Uh oh.
Put my T handle wrench on it, no way. Put some oil around it, tapped it a few times to wake it up, NADA. Took out the clean out screw, put oil in there, then took an open end wrench to the nipple and just got it to budge, more oil, back and forth and after a few minutes I got it out. Lots of rust inside the chamber etc.
Spent about a half hour cleaning it all out, bore is fine, have a new nipple in place while the other soaks in oil, but the powder chamber had rust so was able to get most of that out, then dribbled oil down bore and let sit. Will swab it out later.

Finished a drum repair on the Traditions .50 I gave my granddaughter. I bought a new CVA drum that was supposed to fit but it didn’t. Used an oversized drill/tap/nipple from TOW. Also the old drum was too long and extended into the chamber, ground it down and chamfered the end. She needed the stock shortened too, so I cut it down to an 11” LOP and reshaped the butt pad. I’ll run some heavy loads through it before I give it back to her.

Careful you don’t catch your lip with the hammer on that 11” LOP!

She’s a lucky girl…

Three of the six just need cosmetic work, two older ones (circa 1835 and 1845~1875) have pretty rough bores and may need to be rebored or lined if I can’t clean them up myself. One other rifle is .50 smoothbore in really rough shape, and will be a wall hanger. Didn’t really care about it but it was included in one of the lots I bought.

Hi lads and ladies! A wonderful day at the local range here in Townsville today, for our monthly competition. Three targets at 50 metres; 13 shots at each target, counting the best ten shots on each. Only one shooter shot better than me, a difference of 5 points. Very close! The best of all though - lots of banter, camaraderie, and all the noise and smoke associated with our unique sport!

Cheers, Pete
