Fitted a front sight on an Ultra Hi .45 flintlock pistol. Also inlet the lockplate a tad deeper to close a horrendous gap between the breech flat and pan. Believe the gun was somebody's hastily finished kit. Nosecap and trigger guard need polished badly. Sparks decent. Gonna clean it up some more this weekend.
Was finally able to get my .45 Jukar Colonial sighted in. It was hitting 24" hight @ 15 yards. Just slightly off. 😀 The rear sight had to be filed down to almost half its original height. This caused it to be below the previous notch so i had to deepen the knotch as well as taper the rear part of it with a dremmel. Surprisingly only took two times gling back to the file to get it close but this is only a 6" barreled pistol so only a certain amount of accuracy can be achieved. After this is blued it to cut down on the glare from the bare shiny metal

Also had to make a new pin for it because the old one became loose (which i didn't realize) and I lost it.

Working on restocking my Colonial that was damaged in transit.

Unfortunately, it appears the rear lug mortise has moved forward about 3/8"~... My Colonial has the old Rice barrel and lugs... What to do, what to do...

Edit: That'll do for now

Deary me the chambers lock is different dimensionally than the Kibler, should have been obvious but I overlooked it. Most everything is hidden behind the lock plate I'll just get creative with inletting. Learning what a pleasure a sharp chisel is, but man getting into the sear hole to stretch it out a bit is a bear.

You poor soul. I’ve been lucky enuf (due to dogged persistence) to find upwards of 25 tins at Walmarts in my area for $5.62 a tin over the past two years. I found 7 tins on clearance for $3 each about a year ago.

A lot of them have found their way into fellow club members possibles bags, gratis, or items in our club auctions/raffles.
