Mr T.Foley
Yep shot it several times. As I said my son found my muzzle loader for me it's an 1835 Birmingham made double 16g percussion shotgun. Off tomorrow to frighten a few clays with it actually

What did you do to customize them?
I bought the pair when they first came out and for the Berretta company they were poor with a lot of poor quality parts , whether Berretta made them or they were made by another company I do not know You have to admit that they were nothing like the original so I decided to customise them .First was the stocks they were toned down with a walnut stain to very dark , the checkering I did to 18 lines to the inch. Ignition was not good so the locks were stripped and polish to remove the machine burrs and re-hard also the main spring , these guns although not used much has I prefer the originals can now be used all day firing a great number of shots without a misfire . I would say a large number of repros have the same problem but if you are willing to work on them they can be improve but I still prefer the original.
