Hey Rich, hope your surgery went well and you are on the road to recovery. One of my projects was a hip replacement in Feb; am starting to get around good and able to get in the basement for a couple of hours at a time. Great rehab!! I did do 2-3 gun-type projects, but they aren't suitable to discuss here; even though they were old guns they aren't M/Lers.

My winter project was getting new plumbing to heart. as that is healing I am trying to put together a flintlock pistol very slow going. Hope everyone is getting well!

Come on now guys :rotf: This was a gun building post. I know that someone out there put one together over the winter. :haha: :haha: :rotf:

Thanks Keep um coming.
Went fishing the day after I posted this. My camera is at the bottom of the lake. :cursing: God bless our Grandchildren. :rotf: Pretty ticked at first but laughing about it now. I can replace the camera but I can't replace one of them. As soon as I get another camera I will post some of my wood butchering.
Normie, how do you keep it so clean!! Mine is nasty looking. Inletting-Black all over it. Don’t want to any sanding or scrapping right now until I get all the other stuff done.
Smokepolling, Nice looking gpr. I have an old capper I redid a few months back. I will get some pictures of it (at a distance) as soon as I get another camera.

I use a black permanent marker for my inletting black, if I keep my fingers wiped off with alcohol its not to messy.

Thanks Swampy,
I will have to try that. No matter how carful I am, I get inletting Black all over Gods creation just by opening the jar. :shake:
Nice job on RR pipe!!

I finally finished my first one that I started back in July. It is a British style fowler with a 44" Colerain 20ga. barrel. The wood is black walnut. I hoping for some nice weather to get her ready for turkey season.

LOL, good question. I just finished it last week. The finish was awful fresh, when I took these pictures. Then the weather got windy and cold. I hope to shoot it soon, as soon as I get over my cold as well as the weathers. All these parts came from Tip Curtis and I was helped along by a good friend to get her started and finished.

Dave...WOW....I'll take 2..Beautiful wood--would have never thought of using Tip Curtis to buy wood from..You really brought the grain out in that picture! Hope your first hunt is overcast with the finish on the barrel......Good luck working up loads..Looking forward to a report and a smiling tom turkey picture....Dan

Gezzzzzzzz Robby!!! That is gorgeous. Where is the rest of it? I am sending the one I am working on to you to get finished out. You must do this for a living.

Thank you guys for the pics. I got a new camera took a few shots and left it on the bench in my shop. Got home from work yesterday and guess what? I got cleaned out!! They took all of my power tools except the Delta floor model drill press and my band saw, joiner planer and surface planer. The rest is gone. All of my hand tools chisels and so forth with a ton of pneumatic tools. Put me slam out of business. Worked hard for a lot of years to get all that stuff and now its gone. Makes me want to cry. Sorry for dumping on ya, I just got to vent.
