Ordered a .45 Woodsrunner with cherry stock mid-October and USPS delivered it yesterday! Have not had time to open the shipping box yet but it looks secure and nobody ran over it with their mail truck. Was wrapped several times with filament strapping tape for extra security.

Will unpack today and start some pictures documenting my progress😊

Spent about 2 hours this morning assembling parts to the stock, The inletting is almost perfect - only place I had to touch up was the breech inlet and that took a couple of minutes - great job Jim Kibler!

Still have to install nose cap and will leave the sights for later. Now the tedious part starts - sanding and filing and polishing. Almost had a catastrophe while tightening the side plate while reinstalling the lock - didn’t have my vise tightened enough because I was removing and reinstalling the lock while fitting the trigger and the rifle dropped down in the vise. Luckily I had put a couple of strips of leather inside the vise and they protected the stock from any damage - 2 tiny spots that were slightly dented and once I steamed them they disappeared.🤗
