    T/C Hawken won't stay cocked

I'm wondering if you inadverdantly adjusted the set-trigger to lightly? I noticed this happening w/ my hawken...if I adjusted the set to lightly, it wouldn't stay cocked.

    Pyrodex in flintlocks

I screwed up the spelling of "hygroscopic"... also, I find Pyrodex fouling softer, as Sam Fadala has talked about.

    T/C Flintlock rifles

DEW, Thanks for the good info...I've been really wanting a TC flinter in other than their Hawken (which I love too, btw...)

    Pyrodex in flintlocks

I hit a pretty big nerve the last time i posted about Pyrodex usage in my flinters, so without trying to ignite passions, I'll just say that it's worked well for me when used in conj with Goex 4F in the pan. Someone above mentioned that Pyrodex is Hydroscopic..actually, it is Hugroscopic...

Fine grade of pyrodex in a flinter

Worked fine for me. I like the softer fouling. Now granted, I'll use goex to prime, but my main charge always has been Pyro-p

Fine grade of pyrodex in a flinter

Interesting thread, as I have fired nothing but Pyrodex P as the main charge in my Blue Ridge and other Flinters. Worked just fine for me...

I'm happy to have found kindred spirits, still interested in muzzle-loading arms. I'm 2nd gen front loader, but have been away from my passion for far too long. I'm dusting off the old BP tackle box and will be getting my old Pedersoli/Cabelas blue ridge rifle cleaned up and ready to go.
