    Ferric nitrate and disstilled water. I am told it is Aquafortis after the Iron desolves in the Nitric Acid. Goes on the same as Aquafortis. It worked good for me.

    Thanks for the info. The bases have hunting for deer but I perfer to squirrel hunt. I am from PA and so used to a whole lot of public land. There is just so little here. SF

    Powder Crunching

    I push it down till i feel the crunch then I hole the ram rod about a foot out and let it fall till it bounces a little. It takes a few times but that way I know it is deffinitly on the powder. I also don't shoot for perfect shots I just shoot for fun. SF

    I just did my gun with ferric nitrate and it turned out great. After I applied i let dry and used the heat gun. It still had a slight green tint at spots. Then I nutralized it with baking soda in water and it made it turn more red.

    When I bought the Blue ridge from cabela's I removed the sticker from the bow and The pedersoli sticker for the frontier was under it. I say it is just quanity buying that makes them cheaper.
