Rum...the PC libation. What do y'all recommend?

Dram?

Sir... The ONLY Rum to drink is (if you can find it) Appleton Black Rum. The distillery is period correct (goes back prior to the war of the american rebellion), and the cane is grown on the same fields as it was originally. The rum is dark enough to form a crust on chunks of ice placed...- Kiltiemon

Is there a website up for the Yorktown debacle reenacment, for mid-october, 2006 yet? I've looked all over and cannot find anything really dedicated to it. Hammock Question
Don't know about documentation in Texas, but hammocks were quite "old hat" in the world's navies. Even older in the Carribbean among the natives. I think you could certainly claim knowlege and prior exposure to hammocks. Would your charactor have had the ability to carry a hammock? It seems...- Kiltiemon

Patching Cannon Balls
I believe hot shot WAS used in ship to ship bombardment. See "Arming and Fitting of English Ships of War 1600-1815" (can't give you the publisher, but I'm certain someone here can). Book has picture and info on a copper flush toilet circ. 1770's for shipboard use as well!!! Jim -

Places To See in North Carolina?
Guilford Courthouse NHP is excellent. A great reenactment as well, and heartily recommend it!
