    There is a small set screw on the front edge of the sight. It is adjusted using a small allen wrench. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.Adjust only enough to remove some of the play.

    Stock repair

    To reinforse the thin layer of wood use a dryer softener sheet that has been through the dryer. they are remarkably strong and do not add material thickness to the stock that wood require refitting. I use brownells acra glass. Don't forget the release agent on the barrel. Good Luck

    There another thing that you can check. The early sears were made in a simple "L" shape, but later ones were a little beefier at the right angle some had a fillet added. Look at where this spot is on the sear arm and determine if the inside of the 90 degree is dragging on the edge of the hole...

    Some of the liquid commerical ice machine cleaners are phosforic acid. this can be obtained from refrigeration supply houses. Handle this stuff carefully, read the labels and wear safety equipment.

    This condition can exist it the bridle screws are loose. check that the fly is in it's proper location, put a little thread lock on the screws and your problems are over. Hope that this helps

    Steele & Harrison had a book with a similar cover. It had alot of old information. haven't seen a copy for some time. You might try the inter library program at your local library, shouldn't be to hard to get your hands on one. Hope that this helps. Harley

    Patriot barrels ?

    Teach, I can't help you on the patriot barrel but there were two models of the gun and the barrels are different. the tenons are located in different places. Hope that this helps.

    Built one eleven years ago and love it. One of them ain't hardly enough.Have never soiled it with shot, just big lead balls. A smoothie is a good place to use up all of your junk lead like wheel weights etc,and they provide no end of alibis. Good luck.

    TC Hawken numbering

    T-C used assembly numbers on some of the parts. Theses were parts that were selected for the rifle at the onset of construction and these parts stayed together until the final assembly. Under the tail of thr trigger guard they sometimes left a numbered paper or plastic. Hope that this helps.
