    Pot cleaning advice please.....

    im using a ladle ,to melt and some lead leaves a brown dirty ,dry powder in after melting .it just spoons off the pool of molten lead.try a melt see if the "rust"just floats spoon it away as you would other impurities atb

    it,s got antimony in it ,to make it harddddd.so itl melt in your pot but be a bit tougher when moulded.it ,s popular here for making shot for reloading cartridges .atb

    we use mould release and it just burns off after 3/4 mouldings at work.have you tried aluminium fishing moulds,ive got a 15mm x 7 slot mould bored out using a ball end mill to .62thou by a kind man in our machine shop.so i can do about 70 balls an hour and the lead doesnt stick.doing 7 balls in...

    the cheap thermocouples we are suffering at work means the thermometer is used more and more as your lucky if 4 out of ten dont lie.so as a back up a thermometer is a good investment imho.And totally agree english is dying as a spoken language .our factory is 70% eastern european so pidgeon...

    Cartridge template

    draw a "square" on a piece of stiff card.6"x6".then on the rhd side measure up 3"then draw from the 3" a line across to the top left corner this gives you your template shape.cut above the 3" line so your square now has an angled top \ like so .you can use this shape to cut around on newspaper...

    long time ago in a far off galaxy ,put a lid on that and it was a school desk for infants in jolly old england.what a great idea ,il be looking for one of those to convert :thumbsup:
