    Buffalo Ball-et 54 cal?

I can't help you on the bullet, although I am interested in what others say about them because I am currently build a 54 cal as a back up for my 62 cal. but, I can offer some advise on sighting in your gun. I just returned from a moose hunt and had really prepared for shooting out to 200 yards...

    More and more stuff

last year I finally got my gun room in the garage sealed up and heated and now have a shooting bench at the window with steel targets out to 140 yards. a loading table sits right by the bench. heat, a radio and cold mt. dew in the fridg, life is good! it only took 40 years to get

    Crockett — kit or factory?

too bad you aren't closer, I have a new in the box factory one I would sell for what they want for a kit. I think the piece of wood, factory fit and finish is very nice.

PA allowing Peep sights this year?

correct, lollipop sights were made and used back in the day, I,m not that up on the exact dates, but they would have been simple thing to make. but that's a lot different than todays peep sights. again, there are seasons in place to use those guns and upgrades.

PA allowing Peep sights this year?

unlike Wisconsin, we have a "traditional" season. the intent of that season is traditional firearms/flintlocks of prior to 1800 or similar reproduction of an original. there are ample seasons in place to use modern or altered m/l to take a deer. I,m sorry, I just don't have any time for those...

PA allowing Peep sights this year?

imo, I believe these gradual changes are to make it easier for those hunters that can't "get it done" during the other seasons and are looking to fill their tag as a last ditch effort! peep sights, fiber optic sights, s.s. barrels, plastic stocks, powder pellets, sabot jacketed bullets ect, ect...

PA regulation changes to be considered

no changes that I am aware of this year, thank goodness! more than one gun is not a problem to my knowledge. some of us chose to carry a rifle and a pistol, both must be single shot flintlock and the pistol must be .50 cal or larger. back in the day, it was t/c's, cva's, lyman's ect. wood stocks...

    UPS Made My Day!

I have always kept a small wad of paper towel or clean rag in my bag and lower the hammer/flint down on it, thus shielding the flint edge and blocking the touch hole.
