The load was 200 grains of Goex 2F

[/url] Zimm, I think you are getting your guns mixed up. I shoot at Blue Mountain in Shartlesville and know most of the shooters there(never seen a 60 inch barrel bench gun there) most are 40 to 48 inches. The gun you saw with the crossed paper patching is called a slug gun that shoots cast...

    How fast can you reload

At one of our shoots last year we had a bowling pin shoot (shoot 3 bowling pins off a table at 15 yds) I was able to clear the table on average in 50 seconds my best time was 44 seconds useing my 62 flint rifle with patched round ball useing a loading block. No premeasured charges were allowed.

    Change in group

Something I learned from black powder benchrest shooters,When a PRB transitions from supersonic to subsonic the flight becomes eratic. With the light charge you are shooting this may be what is happening. I would bump the charge up to 75 or 80 grains. I bet your groups will tighten up.

    Renegade flintlock options

Better frizzen, better lock geometry L&R will stand behind their locks just like TC.

    Renegade flintlock options

Skip TOW and deal with L&R directly. The L&R lock will be far better then a TC lock.

Issue with Double Set and Siler Lock

The fly is designed for set trigger use if it is missing or broken the lock will stop at half cock. (and possibly cause damage to the tumbler) With single trigger use the fly is not usually needed. most origional guns with single triggers dont have a fly. it just isnt needed.

    ML Bowling Pins ?

I ran a bowling pin shoot at Harrisburg Hunters & Anglers black powder shoot last year. Three pins on a 4x8 table set 1 ft back from the edge 1.5 ft apart pins must be cleared off table not just knocked down. We had this as a timed event not head to head. Shooter started with a loaded but not...

    Inexpensive flintlocks...

Don't know where your gettin your info but I have heard nothing about any changes in the flint only late season. It would be a shame to ruin the only truly traditional ML season left.

    .60 GETZ ball-patch combination

Hope you have better luck with ordering the .595's than I did. The .595 from TOW turned out to measure anywhere from .588 to .591. I already have a .590 mold. so they were'nt much help.

    Hello from S Central Pa

Hello, New to this forum not new to muzzleloading. I was bitten by the blackpowder bug in my mid teens when Pa held its first flintlock season 1974 or 1975 i think.
