Barrel prices!

I talked with one vendor who talked to GM to see if they would make a run of T/C drop in barrels.

They said sure, no problem. Then GM gave him the minimum number of barrels he would have to order and the price.

He did a quick calculation and he said there was no way he could sell that many barrels in today's market, the demand is not there.

So, you cannot blame GM. They have a business to run.
 
When I was a teen we'd get $2.00 of gas at a time. No way could I afford a full tank on $3.35 an hour.

Instead of Meatless Monday we had Pot Roast Sunday. Maybe a yard bird showed up midweek. Otherwise beans, greens and cornbread.

The Good Ole Days weren't all that good to us po' folk.
 
If it is not profitable to make certain barrels then they need to charge more. The prices were too low, about half that of the competition on some barrels. I saw that and salted some away for future projects.
