This is my first time building something for my Brown Bess. I made a 33 round ammunition box that I can use to hold my cartridges until I am ready to shoot. It should save me time at the range. I am a mediocre carpenter to say the least, but the more I look at it, the more I like the "rustic" look. Plus I got to get a lot of practice with my jack plane. The only thing I paid for was the brass furniture ($7.00 total).

I would put a handle on it of some sort, but that's just me. A box like that just begs some decoration...maybe a wood-burned pic of a Bess???

Thanks for the comments. I am working on a hammerstall next. I've never worked with leather before, so we'll see how it turns out
