Sorry for the confusion Rob, I was asking about the cut down canoe gun that you posted a pick of a page or 2 back.

I will see if I can get a vid of the bore scope going down the barrel. That is not the extent of them and they go all the way around the barrel. I will post up a new thread.

Ah man , I'm sorry to hear all that . The shorty was 26" long b
Got the book. Need the video. Where can I get a copy?
Best place is get it from the library , free that way . Its for sale on Amazon ...check Dixie and Track of the Wolf too

Very cool . Start looking at different designs and see what ya like .
I’m pretty sure it’ll be a Carolina trade gun in a 62 bore. Looking to see what was the appropriate hardware with the appropriate wood. I’m in no hurry as I still have a Kibler Woodsrunner kit to put together but have to wait on my shoulder to heal first.

Walnut w/42” barrel. Don’t care for brass but if that’s historically correct that would be the route I would go. The natives liked items that shined so me don’t want to draw attention unnecessarily

I appreciate the compliment bud but I'm not a good builder . I mean I'll build someone a good gun , not gonna peddle off a piece of junk on someone but .....when I see the work of a good builder it makes me a little embarrassed of my work . I have still yet to figure out how to sharpen a chisel correctly ! LOL ! And I'm not talking about fancy rifles or such , checkering , over engraving , a premium curly stock and a flintlock covered in incised and raised carvings .... I can appreciate the work but its gaudy and over the top to me, no appeal to me in the least , I dont like it but ....a good builder ....his flowing lines , his impeccable inletting with out the least little gap , the barrel inlet perfectly ( 3/4 showing at muzzle ,1/2 at breech ) , perfect balance and finish ... Love it . Ken Netting comes first and foremost when I think of a d@mn good builder .

Just cleaned it up a bit ... I wanna start refining the comb and buttstock in general then come back to this area and bring it all together ....
