Reload right away you never know the effect of your shot until your standin next to a dead deer, and why be in the woods with an empty rifle anyway.I had 2 stray dogs try to run me out of my woods one day while squirrel huntin and I learned real quick the importance of reloadin and a big knife. Yup, over the years I've had two occasions where that"coup" shot was required. And, in Colorado it is unlawful to administer that shot with anything but a weapon fitting the legal description of that which is allowed for the hunt. A friend received a citation for putting an animal out of its misery with a .40 glock.

Reload never not have a gun ready to go while in the woods. The second you don't mr rackmaster will appear and your gun is not ready. Just don't rush and dry ball it take your time but definatly reload.
