Well the rain has stopped for a couple of days so I don’t need my waders to walk out to the target. I was able to cripple the wittle Wabbet. Don’t know if I’m going to have stew. My target is in the mail.

So, I realize there's still one more day left for shooting and mailing, but I wanted to take inventory. I have the following folk on the scoreboard:
Maven
PK
Britsmoothy
MDK_WV
Juice Jaws
Mad Irish
Nessmuk
Logcutter
Cankeney

I am expecting Bledfordays, Richard Dittman, and Smo targets soon. Are there any other outstanding targets I haven't accounted for?

Unfortunately I did not get my shooting in this month. May is normally a bad month for me as we travel to our cabin in Vermont and get it opened up for the season. This year was worse as I had several pipes and my propane water heater freeze over the winter. In addition my storage shed got hit by a tree and then the snow load pushed the roof down quite a bit. Not sure why the pipes froze as I drained it well and followed the heater winterizing directions. New heater arrived yesterday. Oh well. Almost fixed now.

Thanks will be going back next Thursday and praying that the laminate flooring that got wet did not delaminate and dried out with out molding. If that is ok about an hour to install the portable shower hot water heater and we are back in business. The shed roof I am not sure yet what I am going to do. :ghostly:

SMO, your target arrived this morning. You are on the scorecard. Last call, am I missing anyone who mailed a target? Heres the list of participants to date:

Maven
PK
Britsmoothy
MDK_WV
Juice Jaws
Mad Irish
Nessmuk
Logcutter
Cankeney
Bledfordays
Richard Dittman

Thats 12 shooters, I don't know that its the most we've had, but its up there!

Evidently the pigeon I shot last month carrying Britsmoothy's target had friends and they have intercepted my target. I mail mine around a week ago.

I'm not mailing mine but here's a picture to show that I actually shot. I would be really interested in any opinions about what happened here. I don't know what order the hits or the complete miss were in, but something is very wrong with my offhand. I was aiming for center body where two shots hit but I somehow pulled the other three badly. Any ideas what I was doing so wrong?

Adui, if my target doesn't show up by the first of next week, go ahead and post scores. I didn't to that well on it anyway. Thanks.
I'll give it till the end of the week before I post, my mail has been odd since I moved. I think my mail carrier doesn't like me or something.

The list is endless. Are you shooting flint and flinching? Making your own roundballs with a couple of lite ones mixed in? Was there a wind?
Change lube? Patches the same thickness? Knock a sight out of whack last time you cleaned it? A wedge is a little loose? Just bad karma that day?
Anything could do it. Did you shoot a dozen times at another target before you shot the rabbit? You know, just to warm up the gun?
Having said that, I've had days shooting at simple targets that the shots just flew. Sometimes you just gotta laugh and go clean the gun. Another 20 wont get better. Next time out....dead on. Don't let it shake you.;)
