Great thread ... and even better artistry. Courtesy of a gentleman on this forum and an order from TRS, I should have everything needed to build one this coming year.

One question I do have is how those who've built one deal with the somewhat fragile stock design - glass bedding or?

Fragile stock? Live with it and avoid doing vertical butt strokes.
