Glad all is well and you apparently got to keep your toys!
Don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier but next time (and there will be one) get a can of NAPA CRC Brakleen brake parts cleaner. It’s tetrachloroethylene which we all know is just dry-cleaning fluid. Works on grease, oil, and most stains. And non-flammable.

I really hope this works out. But be prepared, because this will be a stain on your record for the rest of your day’s. As an example, more than 60 years ago (Before I was born) my Dad was refinishing the stock on his favorite deer rifle a Remington in .257 Roberts. Well he dumpted part of a can of Boiled Linseed Oil on the carpet next to the dinning room table.
All attempts to clean it up failed and the smell lingered for several years.
This accident was never, ever forgotten! It kinda became a family legend and would come up in conversation every now and then. Especially when Dad was caught trying to sneak another firearm into the house.
They are both gone now but I’m sure Mom still brings it up once in a while. I really miss you Mom and Dad!
Good Luck!👍🤣👍

Did not know where to post this so, I thought this would be the most logical.

Somehow, I was building a gun and using prussian blue for inletting purposes, and tracked a couple spots into the carpet.

Has anyone a good method of removing this? Need your help.
Jump off a bridge and make it look like an accident..

though late, I’ll be the first to call dibs on guns, black powder, and lead for when OP lands himself in hot water with the spousal unit yet again.

Seems like all the unemployed comedians must be on this site ☺️. Thanks for all the responses. The issue has been resolved, no further assistance needed. I am not in hot water, no divorce, no carpet replacement, I am good, so is my lovely beautiful wife, and the carpet. Even the dog is happy.

Where should we send the flowers or would you rather we make a donation in your name?

I just Googled and here is a response:

Sodium hydroxide destroys prussian blue almost instantly leaving a residue of fine grained but readily soluble ferric oxide hydrate which is easily removed with citric acid, oxalic acid, dilute HCl, dilute phosphoric etc. Thanks Boffis, that worked perfectly!Mar 9, 2007

If you have any carpet left after all the acid treatments recommended -- A nice cruise or a Second Hon-- m--- might just get you out of the S---. Been there..Done that, with Puppy problems when had another around.. Puppy will be PUPPYS.. And a shaky hand might be solved by Absterance.
BEST OF LUCK & A GOOD NEW YEAR.. O.D.

And yet the suggestions will keep coming. Possibly for years.

Lol 🙄😆
It would almost be worth having the ability for an OP to designate a question-based thread "SOLVED" similar to what can be done with sales / trades threads.
Many people read the original post and go straight for a reply without reading further into the thread. The more posts / longer the thread gets the less likely it will be for 'new' viewers to read the whole thing and it just builds from there. I suppose eventually a moderator will close a thread to further replies if it gets too out of hand.

Too many comedians. Really need some help here.
get mad at your wife not these guys if she was such a treasure she wouldnt be mad. use her toothbrush and lighter fluid and put back toothbrush before she notices
