The .50 is quite heavy. I’d go with the larger calibers.

9lbs 10 oz. In .50 cal. , 9 lbs 5 oz in .54 cal. , A little over 9 lbs in .58 cal. , From kiblers Longrifles specifications for the Colonial American Longrifles he sells !

Put together a .50 cal. Weighs a little over 9 lbs. The weight is not a problem for me and the balance is great.
