I emailed Katherine about two months ago asking whether the fowler would be ready in the next year, or if I should buy a colonial rifle. And save my money for when the fowler does come out. She said that the fowler should be out in the next six months.

yeah I’ve already been waiting two years! Hopefully it’s not another two! I wanted to turkey hunt with it this spring if possible!

Per Jim, it sounds like a release of a 16 ga and 20 ga Fowler will be in 3-4 months

16 or 20 gauge which will you get?i I am leaning towards the 16. The main advantage I can see for the 20 is powder and lead economy when shooting roundball.

He talked about a hawken after the fowler in one YouTube video.

A sixteen gauge would be incredible! Being a member of the not so illustrious but nevertheless fun "16ga Society", it would force me to break down and get my first Kibler. It's the ballisticly perfect shotgun gauge.
