We're thinking of relocating to Arizona in the future.

In reading the hunting regs online I only see references to shotgun with no mention of muzzleloading shotguns by name. In the rifle and handgun areas of the regs ML rifles and handguns are mentioned.

In Arizona is a muzzleloading shotgun allowed for bird and rabbit hunting? I also noticed rabbit season is year round is that correct?

Thanks for the help, shoot safely.

I'm pretty sure that muzzleloading shotgun is ok for birds and reasonably sure for rabbit. I don't think Game and Fish really differntiates until you get to big game then there are special muzzleloading seasons. If you called them I'm sure they would give you the scoop. Rabbit is year around but it's not recommended to eat them unless there's been a freeze.

We have been using B/P shotguns for years quail hunting in Az. Never had a problem. Have only met one Game Ranger in 20 years in the field. That was hunting Javalina near the Apache Strong Hold.

Thanks I thought that might be the case. Next time I get to Arizona I'll check with a game warden.
Thanks.
