I worked on carving for about an hour and a half this morning before work. I had a slight tear out, it's going to happen and I don't sweat it. As they say "Failure is the best teacher". I glued it with a clear epoxy from Woodcraft. Once it dries I doubt anyone will ever see it, and Turkeys and Targets don't really care either!

I use to use epoxy but found that wood glue allowed the stain to get into the wood, epoxy won't and might show a line.
Looks good, your doing a good job!
Thanks Hatman! This glue I've got is supposed to be stainable. I'll have to do some testing to make sure it is. If not I'll start using the wood glue. Thanks for the tip!
