And that is one of the things I like most about muzzleloading. We tend to want to make it our own. Whether we built it or not. And you never see two guys at the mountain man 'vous with the same rifle. Might be the same brand but each is unique. And that is a nice looking rifle.Excellent job, very well done. Some folks don’t really care for this Pedersoli but I like this style very much. It resembles a Southern Mountain rifle, but with brass hardware. They go with different names such as Blue Ridge, Frontier but all share the common ancestry to Mike Hatfield’s rifle from the 1970’s (?). I think an excellent choice for a factory gun. If the lock sparks well you have a very nice rifle and one that will serve you well.

PS I’ve also been guilty of refinishing new factory guns. A lot! Make them how you want them to look.
