Excellent job, very well done. Some folks don’t really care for this Pedersoli but I like this style very much. It resembles a Southern Mountain rifle, but with brass hardware. They go with different names such as Blue Ridge, Frontier but all share the common ancestry to Mike Hatfield’s rifle from the 1970’s (?). I think an excellent choice for a factory gun. If the lock sparks well you have a very nice rifle and one that will serve you well.
Enjoy it!

PS I’ve also been guilty of refinishing new factory guns. A lot! Make them how you want them to look.
And that is one of the things I like most about muzzleloading. We tend to want to make it our own. Whether we built it or not. And you never see two guys at the mountain man 'vous with the same rifle. Might be the same brand but each is unique. And that is a nice looking rifle.

I’ve always loved the looks of these rifles. I was stoked when my .36 Frontier arrived. I was then terribly bummed to realize that the Frontier doesn’t fit me worth a darn.

Still love to look at them, and you did a good job on this one. 👍🏼👍🏼

Good job! I wish you'd refinish my walnut Lyman/Pedersoli. A nice GPR otherwise, but a really dull stock finish and to much of a contrast to the deep blue of the barrel.

I have an identical Pedersoli Frontier .36 and it is my favorite among my 6 flintlocks. Good looking, fits, and above all, accurate! Only thing I did was use a little cold blue on the brass to mute it...and mine came with a lead flint wrap...changed it to a thin leather. Fantastic sparker! Your stock re-finish looks terrific, compliments!

How about a picture of that 36? Maybe more information about it. I dearly love a .36.
