    Tc hawken qla barrel help!

Should be a 1-48" I thought? I'll have to try and measure with a rod and tight fitting patch. The conicals had old dried lube. Not sure if it matters a great deal. The thread peaked my interest because I had a similar experience and had heard the QLA system was incompatible with conicals...

    Tc hawken qla barrel help!

I had a similar experience I tried to zero my .54 TC Hawken with the QLA and could barely hit a 14x18 target at 50 yards with the Hornady Great Plains. 90 grains RS and with or without a wonder wad made no difference. Then I shot a 5 shot group under 2 inches with a .530 ball and .10 patch. I...

    Roundball effect!

As I was reading this, I was interested to hear what KM said were his favorite recipes. Two of my favorites are Rahmschnitzel and JaegerScnitzel, both with red cabbage and spatzle.

    Lead hollow point or AeroTip?

Getting back to your original post. I've never used either but have heard a lot of bad things about the aerotips and the same things about the skirt problems mentioned previously. In my area, the only muzzleloading projectiles available have some sort of plastic construction. So once my...

Same barrel will fit my 1" Hawken won't it?

    Musket caps vs Percussion caps?

I put a musket nipple on my TC Hawken a couple years ago. For me the larger caps seem easier to handle and it seems like I get faster ignition with pyrodex.

    ramrod help please

How does the weight of a tubular brass rod compare to the standard wood rod?

    Which .54 Cal Conical Mold?

When I found the TC, there were 2 54 Cals on clearance. A Remington 700 stainless and a TC Hawken. Both were nearly the same price, I bought the Hawken. I don't understand why everyone thinks inlines are so much better. I guess because the magazines tell them so. Looks like I might give the...

    ramrod help please

Interesting posts. I was looking for some new ramrods also. I came accross some brass hex rod. I wonder if one could make a ramrod out of it. Pin and solder the ends?

    Which .54 Cal Conical Mold?

When I tried the PRB i probably didn't use the best patches. They shot no better than a smooth bore slug gun at 50. I'm hoping to find a load that makes my muzzleloaders respectable 100 yard deer guns, and as a bonus, show up everyone shooting inlines.

Arrrgh . . .rust. Please help a newbie

I've always used hot soapy water, NO.13 and Bore Butter after i was sure everything was dry. Never had a problem with rust in the bore. Maybe I just get lucky.

    Which .54 Cal Conical Mold?

I'm somewhat of a newb to muzzleloading though I've owned a couple for years I haven't shot either very much. So bear with me, I'm still learning. I have 2 hawkens, both 54 cal. both 1/48 twist. One is a T/C, the other a Traditions. Problem is, because of the popularity of inlines, the only...

Anyone Have Instructions For A T/C Tang Peep?

Got a scanned copy of the instructions via email today. Thanks again Brik847. They say nothing about using the rear hole though. There anyone that has one on a Hawken that can tell me where they put their's?

Anyone Have Instructions For A T/C Tang Peep?

I'm trying to put one on my Hawken and I'm missing the instructions. I know that I have to use the rear hole and drill and tap the front hole with a 29 drill and 8/32 tap. I tried T/C but they told me they no longer have the instructions for them. Can anyone scan and send me a copy?

    Traditions Springfield Hawkens

I have one in .54 cal. I could have sworn it was a 1:48 though. Shoots about as well as my TC Hawken but I get the occaisonal missfire.
