If I were doing that I would have to find a rice paddy somewhere.........where I often prayed I wouldn't be noticed.

Actually I meant non pc/hc muzzleloaders such as T/C, CVA, Lyman, Traditions, etc. or are they tolerated based upon style? I apologize my rather broad eariler post. I knew inlines were out. Thanks for further clarification.

    T/C & Investarms lock polishing

I just finished polishing the lock on my Renegade Hunter. I am not sure if I got all the surfaces I should have but wow, what a difference. Clipping the spring will be certainly unnecessary. I am unequipped to measure the pull accurately but it is way lighter and noticeably smoother. Thanks all...

    Thompson Center Renegade Hunter

I wrote Davis regarding buying one of their triggers for my Renegade Hunter. They do not make one for that model. Fitting a Davis DS, which is a drop in on a Renegade, would require considerable work to fit to my Renegade Hunter. Now if I could trade my Renegade Hunter stock for a Renegade, I...

    Thompson Center Renegade Hunter

Hmmmm, the last three posters have me concerned. I read the lock polishing thread by Robtatto, studied it, printed it out and studied it some more. Seemed pretty straight forward. Now I am beginning to think is something a novice like me should back away from. How would I know if or when I...

    Sizing-wash it out or no?

My no difference tests were with a "wet" lube. Your point is good a one. Thanks.

    Sizing-wash it out or no?

I have and it seems to make no difference especially to the deer in east TN. I have been reading a bunch lately and invariably washing the sizing out is mentioned. I supposed I should have asked, why? Nevertheless, my question has been answered. Thanks to all who replied.

    Sizing-wash it out or no?

Would it make no difference as long as you consistently used one method? TIA

    Is it a Renegade ?

My Renegade came to me as a older unfired kit gun. A "K" in the serial number and "Renegade" stamped on the barrel. I have since changed the barrel to a Green Mountain and later changed the stock to a Renegade Hunter stock. Then I switched the kit gun back to as built. End result, I have two...

Yep, the picture Necchi posted (one on the left) is the TC Renegade rear sight I filed open a little bit. Here is a link to the style front sight I used with the rear. HTH...

Want New Sights - Need Advice

My factory .54 Renegade barrel had a rear sight much like the TC Patriot pistol rear sight you like. I took a file to it and cut away some of each side of the notch while maintaining the squared notch. it gave me a sight picture with a little daylight showing on each side of the front sight...

    T/C Renegade Sights

My GM 32-7/8" LOA, 1:70, Renegade barrel has two holes for the rear sight. They are spaced 7/8"(?) apart and the first one is 25-1/8" from the muzzle. While my barrel came from GM with front and rear (only used one hole) sights, I replaced the rear with a tang mounted TC Hunter peep and the...

    front sight question

I mounted a TC "Hunter" peep sight in the existing rear hole in the tang and drilled/tapped a second hole in the tang for the other hole in the peep sight mount on my TC .54 Renegade. I used the original partridge front sight which I filed down. HTH
