When you take a slug and get double vision, which squirrel do you draw a bead on?

You're correct they don't mix well.

I thought it was about over but #14 just jumps right into the trap a few minutes after sunrise.

This one has me locking the doors and windows day and night

He had the most hateful red eyes I've ever seen. At first I thought I'd caught King Charles

First time I swallowed a slug of uncut as a kid it did that to me. Came straight out of the woods in a Mason jar. Took my breath away for a minute with intense burn. Then, mid-sentence, you go tunnel vision and your lips go numb. From ONE slug. That stuff will kill you. Would mess up your aim on Rocky anyway, huh.

Me thinks Kentucky squirrels are smarter than Colorado squirrels.

Rootin for ya buddy. Sometimes getting prepared for the hunt is almost as enjoyable as hunting. I hope you have a CamelBak in your bag of tricks. You'll need one for sure down there in July.

I see it. I just wonder about the past use of the gun, and the load that caused this to happen. 12 grains of powder.
Could be a few things that caused that.

That's pretty weird. Agree with Fred that could of been a few different things caused that. I've seen guys on here post they shoot 30 grn charges from theirs for extra range without catastrophic failure like that. Probably more than meets the eye there.

Isn't there another, weaker, screw on the other side of the breech?

That's probably the most popular squirrel hunting rifle in U.S. I imagine Trad will be looking into it....

I shoot 20 grns in mine. Both Sheutzen, and Pyro P, and there is barely any recoil. I will be trying Swiss in mine soon. Wonder if he mistakenly used the wrong powder?

I wondered the same thing.
Or doubled up the load and or the balls.
Would it do that if he forgot to put the screw back in after cleaning?
