Stocks had too much wood in places, inletting not perfect (sometimes) but they shoot like rifles three times the price. Nothing wrong with an investarms that a little sandpaper won’t fix. My investarms Great Plains will shoot circles around the Pedersoli one.
Tree Man is the Pedersoli GPR you own the GPR signature series ?

All of the Pedersoli made lyman Great Plains rifles are labeled signature series, so yes. I actually sold this rifle. I didn’t like it. It was nice but too heavy. I’d suggest saving some money and buying the investarms Gemmer Hawken. Shoots as well or better than the Pedersoli and is the same rifle as the pre-Pedersoli Great Plains rifle.

I also owned 4-5 of the Lyman GPR' s and one Pedersoli version. I didn't like the Pedersoli and sold it.

It appears that Muzzle-Loaders has made a deal with Investarms. The address on the Gemmer barrel is Muzzle-Loaders and nobody else has the the Gemmer-Bridger-Carbine rifle for sale other than Muzzle-Loaders. If you look at the video on the Muzzle-Loader website for the gemmer it appears the metal to wood fit is better than what Lyman was selling at the end. Maybe Muzzle-Loaders told Investarms they want better quality control.

Sadly, even though Muzzle-Loaders is the only dealer selling the Investarms guns. They have very few in stock and no built Gemmer models. I'm a bit confused why the Gemmer version wasn't called the Bridger?

Well, Muzzle-Loaders did have one LH .50 Gemmer in stock and I just grabbed it. I would have preferred a .54 but i'll be hunting for mule deer mostly and the .50 is perfect.

I still wish they had called the Gemmer a Bridger instead. I would have liked seeing Bridger on the gun.

Investarm already has another model called the Bridger

You didn't read what I said. Investarms-Muzzle-Loaders has the Gemmer and Bridger. Theses are names Muzzle-Loaders gave the guns and Investarms stamps in on the barrel Just like Lyman had done.

So....

The old Lyman GPR is now called the Gemmer.

The old Lyman Trade Rifle is called the Bridger.

What I said was Muzzle-loaders should have had the old GPR called the Bridger instead of the Gemmer and then called the old Trade Rifle the Gemmer.

Here's some pictures of the Investarms made for Muzzle-Loaders. The metal to wood is much better than the latest Lyman versions. The tang is still a little proud but way better than the Lyman.

Here's a look at the Gemmer again. Not perfect but a little sanding and some oil finish and it's will be good.

So, you're a Jim Bridger fan and would prefer that your gun has Bridger stamped on it. Now I get it

I talked to Muzzle-Loader and I was right. Investarms is making the Gemmer for Muzzle-Loader exclusively. If warranty work is needed we go to Muzzle-Loader. I like that way better than going to Lyman and the reason I cancelled my order for a Lyman GPR.

Anybody who wants a leftover Lyman GPR (new). Go to Jedidiah Starr. They have some left.

Up until yesterday Track of the Wolf had (investarms) Lyman Great Plains in stock. I bought one (54) last week and got it yesterday. They are now out of stock. I gave my previous 50 cal Great Plains to my son in law for Christmas. The misinformation recently that Investarms was not providing rifles to Lyman anymore has been wrong. It has been assumed that Pedersoli is now Lyman’s sole supplier. I have even read and stated this myself. My rifle plainly has 2021 stamped on the barrel so it is a recent made rifle. It’s is typical Lyman/investarms quality. Everything looks good except some of the inletting is a bit too deep. Metal and wood finish is very nice.

Another reason to like Muzzle-Loaders. I ordered the gun a few hours ago and it just shipped.
MtnMan please give us a review of your new Gimmer when you receive it and let us know how it shoots . Thanks for the information you have provided on this .
