J.D., I knew you was just funnin', but since you asked I had to answer. :v

And yer right, sneakin' up on the target would be a way better way to cheat. We trust that nobody will do that tho. :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:     :v :v :v :v
Well I for one won't be sneakin' up on no stinkin' target.................just think what might happen if'n you only wound it;..........there ya are with an empty gun and a really P/O'd target CHARGING at ya........ :rotf: :rotf:

Hey Jethro I got a target in the mail already. Purdy good one too.....and no powder burns either. :blah:

:shocked2: Uh-Oh... The Old Codgers are winning! :shocked2:

But I haven't checked my box yet today. :blah:

You didn't really think that exuberance would beat experience did you???? :blah:

Ok Mountainman, I shot my target today (along with the Texas Holdem cards, two birds with one stone). Not terrible, a little wind from the left, but still held pretty fair. So, I will get it in the mail tomorrow, and you should see it in a day or so. :v Let's get these "Old Guys" targets in - need all the help we can get. These young whipper-snappers don't think we can shoot. REMEMBER - - - "OLD GUYS RULE".

See ya, Jim/OH :hatsoff:

Aw Soggy, ain't ya got no sense of adventure? Them charging targets can be down right exciting...unless the target is a peowed squirrel. They can be down right mean. Ya don't want one of those climbing your leg. :rotf: :rotf:

If I planned to cheat, I would shoot at a real close range, and claim a 50 yard shot, instead of wasting a half ream of paper. :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:            :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v :v

Yeah, but the powder burns on the paper would have allerted the judges to just how close the range was. :rotf: (just funnin' you a bit my friend)

:rotf: I saw that happen to my brother-in-law once. Until then I didn't know a 300 lb. 6 foot man could dance like that. :rotf: :rotf:

I once heard a manly bowhunter, not me, scream like a scared little girl when a squirrel jumped up on his pant leg, while he was sitting in a tree stand. My friend, not the squirrel.

The funny part was, Jim was so scared that he couldn't move. The scream scared the squirrel so bad he froze in place. Both were so scared that neither could move for what seemed like a short eternity. Eventually, the squirrel realized something was wrong and departed "squirrel boys" leg to jump up his chest and shoulder on his way up the tree, and safety.

Squirrel boy looked like he had a close encounter, of the worst kind, with a ghost. he still doesn't want to hear about his squirrely adventure. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Moreover, he doesn't like to hear the phrase, "they are more afraid of you than you are of them", speaking of little animals being afraid of people. :rotf: :rotf:

Jeffro,
I just shot one for us young uns' this evening....Looks like we's surrounded by them ol' fellas though...even had one watch me shoot...suppose he wanted to make sure I never cheated or sumthin....Maybe if there's more ol' coots then us perhaps we can shoot an extra shot.

That's funny J.D. :rotf: Surely you wouldn't constantly remind him of something as traumatic as that.

Wait until he finds out you just told close to 15,000 people about his "squirrely adventure". :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Good goin' Halftail. I hope you put some fear in that Ol' Coot that was watchin'. He was probly spyin' out how to do it right since he forgot. :haha:
Them Old Guys might have twice as many shooters but us younguns are gonna shoot twice as good.

Well Jeffro....Soggy...er...I mean...That ol' Coot didn't look the least bit scared. He'd already shot awhile back.Suppose he knows something us Pups don't?

Well guys the old fellas sent me two more targets in the mail yesterday. I don't want to scare the younguns (yeah right :rotf: ) but there is an awful lot of page around the outside of all three shots I've received so far.

I'm still waitin' for the first young guy target to get here. :hmm: There's a lotta old guys workin' at the U.S.P.S., they must be holdin' up the delivery. :haha:

:hmm: ...........Tell them young fellars if they are sending targets through UPS, all they have to do is send a blank piece of paper. By the time UPS gets done with it, it's sure to have a hole in it somewhere.............

Us younger folks are more likely to use the new modern electronic methods of sending things. We're still looking for some old fellas to explain that "snail" mail process. I believe they refer to it as Pony Express. :haha:

Yer probably still waitin for some old guy to explain how to hit the center of the target. :v GW

Not so. There are many that can EXPLAIN HOW to hit it but finding one that CAN hit it is rare!! :rotf: :rotf:
