    Thanks fellers ! She weighs in at 8-1/2 lbs. When I turned the barrel part round I left it a little beefier with a muzzle wall of .100" . I like a little more muzzle wt. so I have to hold it up instead of hold it down . :grin:

    Should A Sealant Be Used On Breech Plug Threads?

    A light coat of the silver anti-seize is what I use . As what mentioned above the seal is made with the face of plug and bores breech.I remove the first 2 threads at face of plug down to root diameter of the thread so that they dont interfere with fitting to bores breech.

    If you are referring to Barbour flax linen stitching cord it is a natural fiber and will take leather dye easily . Oregon Leather has the big spools of neutral in right and left twist and 5 cord for saddle stitching .
