    CVA Frontier Arrived Today

If you don't already, try running a couple of clean patches down the bore before you load for the first time. Also, pop a couple caps to clear the nipple. My CVA Mtn Rifle does just fine with pyro but I usually use 3f. Have fun with the new toy.

bioprof, it would seem we have similar tastes. I am now building a Bedford and have just picked up the rest of the hardware to build a Vincent. The Hawkins looks great  .

    Orderd My First Build.

LFrog, this will definetly be a half stock. I think they are about the sexiest little rifles I've ever seen. Since Green Mtn no longer makes a 7/8,40 in 36", I had to buy a 42" and I'll have to cut it down.

    Orderd My First Build.

Just went out to the Log Cabin Shop yesterday and bought parts to build a Vincent. It'll be a 40cal,7/8, 36" GM barrel. I got a stock blank from Dunlap's. This will be my next build. Ive just started a Bedford style flinter, so it'll be awhile yet. Good luck with yours.

Loading stand for sgle shot pistols

Don't know if this picture thing will work or not. If it does, this is a stand I built for my pistol. It works well for loading and display.

Yet another problem with my GPR! Help!

Maybe you could try loosening up the lock bolts a little. Possibly they're too tight and putting things on a bind.

    Good Kit Pistol

I have a Trapper that shoots very well after I changed the sights to something these old eyes could see. Mine has been trouble free for 4 or 5 years now. Hank

    I need help

Make sure there isn't an old cap stuck up in the hammer pocket. Also check to see that the pocket is cleaned out real well. Maybe dig around with a pocketknife to check for carbon build-up. Hank

P-hunter, yeah, we stayed at the hostel there once but usually hiked up and camped at the edge of the treeline out of the wind. Some wild weather up on that mountain. Hank
