    Guy owed me money and since he could not pay, he gave me NIB .50 flint. It is the Cabelas Hawkin. Any words of wisdom on this, and whats it worth. Worth keeping, as I don't know anything about flint guns?

    Yeah, I know. I messed up when I did not order the last .50 barrel (RB) they had in stock for the GPR and they said it would be the end of the month before they got anymore in.

    I found a new one on the shelf at the gun store and the Lyman handles won't fit. I looked on the RCBS web site and they don't even show this mould. Anybody have any experience with this patricular mould?

    Tumbling cast balls

    After reading these, poured some RBs yesterday and then threw them into the tumbler. Came out gray, looking just like "store bought" and the few wrinkles and sprue were gone.

    For you casters a ?

    Just got back from Cabelas this afternoon in Fort Worth and found a Lyman pot, holds 8lbs, and talked them down to $35. It was in the Bargin Cave, and the reason was, somebody had opened the box on the floor to look at the contents. Fired it up and poured about 100 .527 balls this evening.

    Misfires?

    No expert, but sounds like something in the barrel is not allowing spark to get through. Do you fire a couple of caps on an empty barrel before loading for the first time after cleaning?
