    Wound bakllistic of ML-bullets?

Here is a picture that you can show all the doubters that muzzleloaders are lethel and accurate for hunting. This deer was taken with a 50 cal handgun (Kahnke). Has a 10 1/2" barrel. Load used was 80gr of Triple Seven under a 300 grain Precision Extreme. Deer was 50 yds out. One shot kill...

    Deer Hunting with a pistil

.......Bigbore........got this nice buck last season (`04) with the 10 1/2" barrel at 50 yds. Haven't used the 14" barrel in several years. Found that the shorter barrel is easier to carry and handle.

    Deer Hunting with a pistil

....have both 10 1/2" & 14" barrels. Also have some chrony data on both. Not a lot but did some range work a couple years ago when the BP substitites started to show up. The best results (charge weight to velocity) were with T-7, Goex 4F, Pyrodex-P in that order. Tried some others with poor...

    Deer Hunting with a pistil

I use a muzzleloading pistol as an primary hunting gun. It's an inline 50 cal, 10 1/2" barrel made by Kahnke Gun Works. Used it exclusively for 5 seasons through regular gun season as well as muzzleloading season. Shoot a 300 grain Precision Extreme over 80 gr of T-7 developing 1480 FPS...

    ATV, do you ride?

I use a ATV every time out :winking:. Besides hauling me around I use it to stash some extra stuff that I don't want to carry but my want available if needed. i.e. cell phone (limited to a couple areas but better than no contact), food, tree stand(climber),coffee, basic first aid kit, snacks...

    Question for Stumpkiller

:thanks: for posting the map. Those boundries on the map takes some of the guessing out of it. Wasn't sure what the East side of the river was seen as it runs East/West throught the south tier ::. I haven't used a long gun for deer since I started hunting 14 years ago so the rifle issue didn't...

Hi all. Just joined and am looking forward to chatting with a group that have similar interests as mine. I'm located in central New York. Got back into hunting about 15 years ago when I got interested in hunting with handguns. After lots of range time and some successful deer seasons I wanted a...
