Something that might help is sight picture. Instead of trying to hold it dead still, instead do a very small figure 8 across the target. With the center of the 8 being the target as you squeeze the trigger.

Added what should be the final coat of Tried and True to the Renegade stock. Just need to re black the metal bits and install a new rear sight and this project will be done.
My understanding is it is a general term. Smooth bore guns, elegant and easily wielded, smaller smooth bores , designed for hunting were fowlers. Larger bore, heavier built, destined for military use were muskets.
I use it liberally for black powder gun cleanup. Seems to do a fine job in removing powder residue. Cut it with water and scrub away.
Also makes a good cologne. :)

Finished the butt stock extension to increase LOP and mounted plate. Leather wrapped pad will be used as well so the colors won’t be visible.
2 coats of medium walnut Danish oil added. Will work on final finish and re assemble this weekend. Won’t be real fancy but will be serviceable.
