    I tried 70gr 3f swiss, felt wad and 385 Great Plains last fall. Excellent accuracy out to 100yds. Never saw anyting close enough to shoot at. But my confidence level was high!!

    I found that .45 tc maxiballs,felt wad and 60-70grs 3f goex drives tacks at 50meter for me! thats out of my .45 TC Hawken. Never tried maxihunters. Didn't need to!!

    I found a .45 TC Hawken last summer, used for $230. I thought it was a good buy, as it was in excellent shape. It drives tacks at 50meters with 70gr 3f goex felt wad and 245gr maxi's. sweet shooter!!

    I bought it just fo plinking, targets etc. If i can get it shootin good enough for squirrels etc I would be more than happy. I've got a .45 hawken, ,50 hawken ,.50 renegade and a white mtn carbine in .50 Plenty of deer rifles. It will probably end up for my grandson if luck is on my side...

    I picked up a .45 TC Hawken this last summer. It is 1" shorter than my .50 TC Hawken. It "feels" better, seems handier and is my most accurate sidelock!! Drives tacks at 50m w 70gr 3f goex and a 240gr maxiball!! Haven't shot any farther, but I have no reason to believe 75 to 80 yds would be...

    Back about 1975 or 76 I bought aTC hawken .50. A pal of mine bought a seneca .45. The 1st year Mich had a MZ season. They both shot better than the shotguns at the time. HE KILLED A NICE 8PT that fall. Took me a couple of yrs to get my 1st w/mz. Been using them ever since. Mine was stolen...
