Oh nothing fancy ...I just bough strap steel at the hardware , stuck em in the forge and gave em a twist ... They ride on the piece I made , just a strap with a post ....I'll get some pics , easy hinges to make ... The south door , one with bigger window , I cheated , hidden modern heavy duty hinges in there ....I figured as much. Nice job! Tell us about the hinges.
You may have to point out the differences when you show the glamour pics .Did you just dye the stock first or just put finish on it,Ricky is gonna have to take some pics for us so we can see how she shoots .( lucky guy).I could not get a good pic ! But ... the finish coats are on and gonna let it cure over night ...I got the ramrod tip on too , pinned and colonial epoxy , let it cure then tomorrow or next I'll taper the ramrod and throw it in the special sauce to soak a week .... Be buffing , waxing the stock soon and be taking glamour pics of the assembled NW gun soon !!
Hey bud ... I dyed it first , leather dye, then I put on 3 coats of shellac ...brought it in the house to dry then when it did I painted the sucker all black Just fur fun ....
